Antara is most famous for her role of Madhuri in 'Main Madhuri Dixit Banna Chahti Hoon' which was her way of paying a tribute to the legendary actress Madhuri Dixit who remained Antara s icon for years. Antara Mali has come a long way, her father is the renowned commercial photographer Jagdish Mali and her mother is a theatre actress. Her grandfather, Shantanu Mali was a painter. It was natural that Antara would develop interest in films. Antara had debuted in a low-budget film called Dhoondte Reh Jaonge, which went unnoticed. To Antara's dismay, her second film Dum Dum Diga Diga was shelved half-way through. Her next break came with a Telugu film, Prem Katha directed by Ramgopal Verma, who later ensured her a slot in her first hindi film Mast. After this, she became a staple feature in Ram Gopal Varma s movies, she acted as an author-backed role in Ramu s film Company opposite Vivek Oberoi from where she was groomed as an actress and she graduated from second fiddle roles to being a heroine in Ramu s Road. Then she came in Ramgopal Varma's Darna Mana Hai which has six stories interwoven together into a single movie. In the first story she is acting with Sohail Khan which revolves around a young, married couple stuck in the middle of a dense forest. Then she snapped up the in the leading role in Ramgopal Varma s film with an unusual title Main Madhuri Dixit Banna Chahti Hoon. The film was based on a heroine oriented story and Antara was paired with the lesser-known Rajpal Yadav. Antara played Tusshar Kapoor's love interest in Gayab, where she looked hot in her skimpy outfits giving other bold babes a run for their money. Next she was seen in 'Nach' paired with Abhishek Bachchan where she makes Abhishek dance to her tunes. Antara Mali will be seen in a mix of meaningful and entertaining films, including Anurag Kashyap s Gulaal. Eventually, she plans to move into film direction.

Antara was born in West Bengal. She finished her schooling from Julien Day School in South Kolkata and got her B.A.Degree in Sanskrit from Ashutosh College.

She started her career as a TV actress and was also modeling for Oriya Albums. By showing her presence in the Oriya video albums, she got offers in the film industry. Anjali Pandey has served as vice president, chemistry since joining Portola in November 2003. Dr. Pandey most recently was the director, chemistry at Millennium. Prior to Millennium, Dr. Pandey was with COR, working in the area of oral GP IIb-IIIa antagonists, Receptor Tyrosine Kinase inhibitors and ADP receptor antagonists and rose to the rank of director, chemistry at COR Therapeutics. Her efforts along with her team resulted in three drugs that are currently in clinical trials, one for leukemia and two for cardiovascular indications. Dr. Pandey has published over 20 scientific articles and reviews and is a named inventor on over 15 issued U.S. patents. Anjali is a South Indian film actress and model, who mainly works in the Tamil, Telugu and Kannada film industries. She is best known for her critically acclaimed role as Anandhi in the 2007 Tamil film Katradhu Thamizh, which happened to be her first Tamil film itself and introduced her to the Tamil audience as an actress.

Anjali was born in Rajamundry in Andhra Pradesh, India and has 2 brothers.

She started her acting flim career in 2007 with the critically acclaimed Tamil film Katradhu Thamizh, directed by Ram, who gave her the opportunity to star in the film, when she was vainly waiting for an offer in the Telugu film industry.
